These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the ZiRide mobile and web application ("ZiRide", "the App"), operated by ZiTechnologies ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using ZiRide, you agree to these Terms.
By registering for or using ZiRide, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
ZiRide connects riders seeking transportation with independent drivers ("Drivers") who provide transportation services. ZiTechnologies does not itself provide transportation services and is not a transportation carrier. We provide a technology platform that facilitates these connections.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current information when creating your account and to update it as needed.
You agree to treat Drivers with respect, to not engage in unlawful, abusive, or dangerous behavior during a ride, and to pay all applicable fares for completed trips.
Fares are calculated based on distance, time, demand, and ride type, and are displayed before you confirm a ride request. Payment methods available through the App (including cash and mobile money, where enabled) must be honored in full at the end of each trip.
Riders may cancel a ride request before a Driver arrives. Repeated cancellations after a Driver has been assigned may result in a cancellation fee or temporary account restrictions.
ZiRide is committed to rider and driver safety, but does not guarantee the conduct of any Driver or Rider. You use the App and any transportation arranged through it at your own risk. Report any safety concern immediately through the App or to our support contact below.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ZiTechnologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App or any transportation service arranged through it. ZiTechnologies' total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount of fees paid by you in the three months preceding the claim.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or conduct that endangers other users.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of ZiRide after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
